With it's recent upgrade in design, the Shimano Claris groupset is better than ever as an entry level road groupset. It now shares the same design and functionality of higher end groupsets, with lesser materials and a lower pricepoint. This is a replacement rear derailleur. The SS version allows up to 32T cassette while the GS version allows up to 34T for 8-speed R2000 Claris.
